What Next for Existing Users.

Existing users no longer need to pay and should not renew their subscription. The software will continue to work as it has done previously.

• It is no longer necessary to subscribe or pay to use Fixity Pro.
• Existing subscriptions should continue to operate without any action of the user's part.
• The software will still try to validate a subscription on startup, this check should never fail.
• OPF will produce a new version of the software with all subscription features disabled.

Under the stewardship of the OPF, Fixity Pro will be freely available as open-source software, ensuring that this valuable resource remains accessible to the digital preservation community. During this transition, we will be fixing any issues we encounter. This means that we will not be continuing the subscription/support arrangements that existed with AVP, but we are committed to releasing improved software as quickly as possible. Going forward, technical issues will be tracked on GitHub, and we are not able to provide one-to-one/live support.
